The 2024 Zero S is, without question, the world's most accomplished sports motorcycle in the 11kW category. Never before has a motorcycle that sits in the 125cc petrol class delivered a riding experience that would normally be associated with a full, A licence bike.
Why the 2024 Zero S demolishes everything in the A1 licence class
Zero achieves its unrivalled performance advantage by allowing its 11kW (continuous power) bikes to unleash up to 45kW during periods of acceleration. In contrast, a 125cc combustion engine produces the same peak and continuous power of 11kW. But power is just half the story, as torque dictates how quickly a motorcycle gets off the line and responds. The contrast here is even more staggering, with the Zero S producing ten times more torque than a 125cc bike.
Zero's 11kW bikes have always been mould-breakers due to their class-shattering performance, but the 2024 Zero S has pushed torque up by 25% vs the 2023 model, from 106 Nm to 132 Nm - 15% more than any non turbo-charged 1000cc bike. The real-world impact of Zero's Z-Force 75-7 motor is a 0-60 time of around 4 seconds - roughly four times faster than any petrol A1 bike, and an immediate throttle response throughout the bike's speed range.
It's not simply the power and torque that makes the S such a quick and rewarding bike to ride: The absence of a clutch and gearbox ensures flawless getaways and a seamless delivery of performance.
An entirely new platform
The 2024 Zero S is based on exactly the same chassis, suspension, wheels, tyres, brakes, electronics, Cypher 3+ operating system and battery technology as the 110 hp Zero SR/F, thus allowing A1 and CBT licence holders to experience the handling, stability, thrills and aesthetics of this range-topping sports bike.
