CFMOTO - 800MT-X - 2025

800MT-X

New for 2025, the 800MT-X is based on the same chassis as the KTM 790 Adventure and also shares its low-slung fuel tanks, which take overall fuel capacity up to a massive 30.5l, giving a range of around 350 miles. This bike is targeted at riders with a serious interest in off-road adventure riding, but with the power to reach exotic destinations at speed, over conventional surfaces.

Engine

A new, liquid cooled, twin cylinder, DOHC, eight valve engine, fitted with a slipper clutch delivers 70kW peak power at 8,500 rpm and 88Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This represents 4% more power and 17% more torque than the previous 800cc twin. As with the 2024 CFMOTO 800MT range, the 800MT-X uses an electronic throttle, which supports cruise-control, and three riding modes are available: Rain, Sport and Off-Road.

Chassis

The 2025 800MT-X has a steel tubular frame with a bilateral, aluminium-alloy swing arm and includes a steering damper. Overall dimensions are slightly larger than the 2024 800MT models with a length of 2285mm, a width of 910mm and a height of 1346mm. Seat height is 830mm and an optional raised seat takes this to 870mm. Ground clearance is 200mm, so 10mm greater than the 2024 800MT models.

Wheels

Whilst CFMOTO's other 800MT models are supplied with 19"/17" wheels, the 800MT-X has a 21"/18" combination, fitted with CST Rally Vacuum tyres, which suit a wider range of surfaces, particularly off-road.

Brakes by J-Juan and Bosch

As with other 800MT models, the 800MT-X is equipped with twin, 320mm front discs and a 260mm rear disc, with J-Juan radial calipers at the front and a floating dual piston rear caliper. Bosch provides the ABS and Traction Control technology, with ABS and cornering ABS, enhanced by a 6D IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit). 

Suspension

Front suspension is courtesy of 48mm inverted forks and a single rear shock at the rear, both offering 230mm of travel. 20-click adjustment is provided at both ends of these locally manufactured YU'AN units.

Electronics

The 800MT-X is well equipped with a bilateral quickshifter, cruise control, a 7" vertically-oriented TFT Colour display, USB charging sockets, Tyre Pressure Monitoring and T-Box telematics, which can be accessed via CFMOTO's Ride app. LED lighting is provided all-round. Options due to become available include heated grips, heated seat and an air pump.
